If you are running Windows 10

Microsoft recently sent an update which can deactivate some printer drivers and set your PC with no default printer.

If no printer is selected by default, Many software can report an error
As the Manager software is expecting to find the drivers it was using , it can show an error message that seem unrelated

If you see  ERROR Access violation at address XXXXXXXX. .. in module TripLogik.exe

Please make sure you have select a default printer before using the Manager software to produce your reports.


You can also prevent Windows from changing the default printer without your consent
  1. Open the Setting app.
  2. Go to the Settings -> Devices -> Printers and Scanners.
  3. in "Let Windows manage my default printer". Turn off the feature ( see image below)

This will restore the default printer behavior to how it was in earlier releases of Windows.
This will now prevent Windows 10 from changing your default printer every time you select some other printer in the print dialog or software.
