You can tabulate trips by province using the following technique.

In order to split a trip from one province/state from another , you need to start a new trip from the border using the button on the instrument.
As you cross the border, press and hold the button until the end of the beeps ..
Follow the instruction manual on how to proceed ( read section FORCE NEW TRIP in link below).
How to split a trip or start a new one while driving or do not stop for more than 5 minutes.

Using the trip divider ensures that the trip will be accounted for in one province or another.
A trip has a beginning and an end. If you cross the border, and use the function "FORCE NEW TRIP " this will cut the trip at the border and start a new one from that point . Each trip will be fully noted in the province/state you entered.
This must be done manually, make certain the vehicle is really over the border as trips are classified by the starting point.

Recording
Ex You leave Ottawa, cross the bridge to go to Gatineau. On the bridge, where the border is, you use the function "Force new trip.. A new trip will begin.. The final result will create two consecutive trips (back to back). One from your starting point in Ontario to the border, one from the border to your destination.

Creating the report with Filters
In the Manager, use the selection filter ( see image below ) ",ON" will display only trips made in Ontario. ",QC" will display only trips made in Ontario.
(Be careful to add the comma before the province description. Ex ",QC " and not "QC").

With proper identification and trips filters, you will be able to generate reports by province/state
