- How to register the adminintrator
- How to setup the Manager on the adminintrators PC

Definitions of the terms used in the system
The Manager
The application running into your PC that allows you to retrieve data from your instrument, view routes, retrieve start and end addresses, and create mileage reports.
The instrument
The TL1000 GPS receiver that records and logs trips (GPS mileage Logger). it is a measuring instrument to be handled accordingly like any other electronic device.
TripLogik Map
The internet service that works with the Manager to retrieve the coordinates and the geolocated addresses of each trip.
Basic concept of users
In the Manager application, there are two types of users, The Primary administrator , and local users.
- The Manager application uses a "Primary administrator" to connect to the TripLogik Map server.
This user is the "owner" or administrator of the system. - "Local users" are the people using instruments. When you connect an instrument to the Manager, it will know who is using the instrument, and will transfer the trips to this user’s database. This ensures data will never mix from one user to another.
This is why instruments are "assigned" to a local user.
Primary User
When the Manager is installed, the first user is defined by default as the primary user.
If the application is used by a single user, the user is the "owner" of the TripLogik Map account and there is no need to create a local user.
This user password is also the login for the Triplogik Service.
Local user
Once the Manager software is installed and "connected" to the TripLogik Map server, It is possible to add several other users in the same application. These users are called "Local Users" because they are not Triplogik Map account owners. The local term is used because they use the TripLogik Map server through the Main account (owners)
Basic concept
- The Manager application uses the Primary user name to connect to the TripLogik Map server.
- Every other user name, called "local users", are the actual users of a TripLogik instrument.
- Instruments are "assigned" to a local user. This enables the Manager to properly store the trip to who’s ever been using the instrument.
Conclusion of the concept
- The Manager application uses the Primary user name to connect to the TripLogik Map server.
- Every other user name, called "local users", are the actual users of a TripLogik instrument.
- Instruments are "assigned" to a local user. This enables the Manager to properly store the trip to who’s ever been using the instrument.

Steps to set up your system
There are 3 steps to properly set up your system
- Install Manager
- Register the administrator

NOTE 1
We recommend using a generic email redirected to the department that will administer the system.
By experience, most of the time it is HR or accounting taking care of the system as it is mostly related to expenses, revenues and income taxes.
Ex accouting@XYZcompany.com
The reason to use an email that will not change is to prevent any future issues when an employee changes position.
NOTE 2
When selecting the above Password , please select a dedicated password. This is the password to install the Manager on your user’s PC as well, and you will need to share this with your users.
