Manager 2.0 supports multiple users and instruments in the same application.
If you have multiple employees and you would like to have all of their mileage controlled from a central location or
if you have multiple vehicles as a single user.

- Single user using multiple instruments in the same Manager application  

- Multiple users using their own instrument in the same Manager application


Single user multiple instrument 

If a person is using multiple instruments from different vehicles.

There are 2 methods depending on the end result

  1. Install all instruments under the same user
  2. Create multiple user with one instrument per user 



Methods 1

Install all instruments under the same user (single person is using multiple instrument )

Pro

You can print a separate report , by vehicle by selecting only the serial number related to the vehicle.

You can print a single report for all mileage done from this user for all the vehicles he used.

Con

If you add manual trips, they can only be printed along with ALL instruments.
Manual trips are per user, they are not related to an instrument so when ever you print a report for a user , they would always print. if you select a specific instrument, manual trips will not be printed as you are selecting trip from a particular instrument only.
For example, you can not print trips from instrument no1 including manual trips.
You must print all trips from all instruments to get the Manual trips.


Methods 2
     Create one user per instrument (single person is using multiple instrument )
Example  create 2 users:   
User 1: Your name _Car 1   
User 2: Your name_Car2

Pro

You can print a separate report, by instrument (as each vehicle are used separately).
If you have 2 cars, you can create the user1 YourName_car1 and user2 YourName_car2 .
User will have each instruments related to the car they are used in.
When printing a full report for car1 or car 2 they will print including their own manual trips.


Con

You can not print a single report for all mileage done on all the vehicles for this person into one single report.
Since they are separate "users", you need to print as many reports as there are users.

Add users


Open the User menu

  1. Click the "Add new" to create the new users
  2. Click Save



Adding the instruments

Plug the instrument to be assigned to a user
If the instrument is not already registered in the Manager, It will ask to register it now.
 



The Manager will ask you to assign it to a user

  1. Click the selection list and select the user 
  2. Check you have properly selected the user to whom you will assign this instrument
  3. Check that the instrument is properly configured (like in the image at point 3) 
  4. Click Add instrument to selected user  



Verify the instrument status 

Once you have assigned an instrument to a user , you can verify it using the instrument menu

  1. Click instrument menu 
  2. Verify instrument is used by the proper user 




Sync instrument 


Plug in the instrument
The Manager will recognize the instrument and will ask if you want to sync now.
Since the instrument is assigned to a user, the trips will be saved to its user




To see the users trip, select user in the trip filter
