The TL1000 instrument can be set with an internal password.
By default there is NEVER a password already set.
If the Manager is asking for an instrument password, it's because you had set one up before.
IMPORTANT NOTE
With version 2.0 of the Manager, it is no longer necessary to use an instrument password.
As the instrument cannot be saved to more than one account, it is not possible to extract the data by anyone other than you.
Following password recovery and synchronization,
We suggest you replace the password with the instrument serial number. (Be careful to use capital letters and use all 16 characters).
CAUTION
This will erase all internal data in the instrument, only do this once your data is safe in the Manager application.
Password when replacing an instrument
When replacing an instrument in the Manager, you will be asked a password , please consult the following instruction in the Password section on how to do this. How to replace an instrument
Why add a password ?
If your instrument is stolen, or someone takes your instrument and tried to read its content without your permission, the instrument is protecting your privacy.
What happen if someone else tries to change the password ?
Since the password encode the data, it makes it impossible to retrieve anything from the memory without the key that is the password. If you change this password, all existing data inside the instrument will be deleted.
Because the data uses the password as a cryptographic key, once the key is changed, all existing data will be unreadable and is therefore deleted.
What if I forget my password ?
